WARDOGS Vehicles: Spawn Vehicles, Transport and Tanks

Three Ways to Get a Vehicle

  1. Free base spawns. A few minutes into a match, a large transport helicopter (a Huey-type) and an SUV appear at the team spawn for anyone to take. If you are broke, this is your ride.
  2. Purchase from the vehicle vendor. Costs cash, gated by your progression tracks, and needs an unlock fee the first time.
  3. The team spawn vehicle, which arrives automatically — see below.

Community counts from beta footage put the vehicle roster at around 21, though BULKHEAD has not published a figure in writing. Ground vehicles level the Driver track; helicopters level Pilot.

The Spawn Vehicle

When any team reaches 20 points, all three teams receive an armoured spawn vehicle at their base. It is the single most valuable object your team owns:

PropertyDetail
What it doesYour whole team can spawn on it, anywhere it is parked
How to deploy itInteract with the large computer at your base and select the vehicle
CooldownAbout 10 minutes per player between uses
Weak pointThe satellite dish on top. Destroyed, it stops working until repaired
RepairAny repair tool
Bounty on the enemy’sRoughly $15,000, using two IEDs placed and detonated separately

Parking it badly loses matches; parking it behind a FOB with anti-air is how good teams keep pressure on the zone.

Fuel, Ammo and Repairs

  • Fuel and ammo are finite. Top both up at base, or carry a gas can bought from the base vendor.
  • Buy ammo separately. Weapons on a vehicle are not always loaded when you buy it — a frequent and expensive surprise.
  • Always carry a repair tool when you plan to drive or fly. Repairs pay cash and XP, and the tool runs on batteries, so carry a spare.
  • Rolled vehicles can be recovered — flip it back, and a repair area at base fixes it automatically.

Driving and Gunning

  • On a vehicle or turret, A and D make coarse movements while the mouse handles fine aim.
  • Ground vehicles and helicopters can carry supply crates for FOB resupply, which is one of the steadier ways to earn without fighting.
  • Vehicles unlock radio cassettes and larger supply cases as the Driver and Pilot tracks level.

Heavy Armour

Tanks arrive late and cost a lot. In the beta the SPH-2 artillery tank required War Dog level 55 plus a $400,000 unlock, then about $8,000 per purchase — details on the artillery page.

This is changing. BULKHEAD’s Joe Brammer confirmed that tanks sat on the general War Dog track only because beta progression was compressed; at Early Access they move to the Driver role, so driving is the route to armour. Treat every beta-era tank unlock figure as provisional until after September 10, 2026.

Anti-Vehicle Work

The counter-play is well developed, which is why buying a tank before your team can protect it is a bad trade:

  • IEDs and C4 for spawn vehicles, FOB structures and parked armour
  • RPGs and launchers on the Support track
  • Anti-vehicle drones, which beta players described as one of the most profitable tools in the game
  • Anti-air emplacements built at a FOB, from basic manual rockets up to heavy SAM systems
